Worked on my development site, but not on pleiades-staging :(

Do we mean non-Latin characters; i.e., accented characters in users names?

Correction: it didn't really work on my other plone site. This is a Plone bug. The workaround for users who have names with non-ascii characters is to pass in a mangled name and then correct it later through the member preferences.
