Description

The secondary literature is full of apparent ancient names that are not actually atteseted in the sources. Most common are probably Latinized forms for features where the ancient sources only provide a Greek name. How to handle these, as many users will be using or expecting them? Also, is this the place to deal with, e.g., ancient name roots with modern language case endings tacked on (as seems to be the case in German scholarly writing like Pauly)?
