Allied Projects and Centers

The Ancient World Mapping Center at the University of North Carolina is honored to welcome into consultation and collaboration with its Pleiades Project a select group of Allied Projects and Centers (APaCs). These communities and organizations boast outstanding records in scientific research, scholarly publication, technical innovation and public outreach at the disciplinary intersection of geography, humanities computing and ancient studies. As Pleiades aims to diversify, digitally disseminate and perpetually update the information originally assembled for the publication of the Barrington Atlas, so we recognize the essential importance of citing, linking with, and facilitating wherever possible the diverse and valuable work of colleagues worldwide.

We eagerly invite APaCs to communicate to the Project Director nominations for Senior Research Advisers and Technical Observers to the Pleiades Project.

For questions concerning the APaC program, please contact the Project Director.
