Pleiades User Role: Member

A Pleiades UserRole

All participants of the Pleiades Community are granted Plone accounts, making them "members" of the community.

Whereas scholar-compilers working on the Classical Atlas Project submitted compilation bases, draft directory entries and bibliographic listings to the Project Office, Pleiades Members create structured Suggestions? whereby specific additions and changes to geographic, temporal or bibliographic data records are proposed, including the introduction of wholly new records and the creation of new classifications (e.g., a new time period).

Members can also create two other types of structured documents: ExplanatoryEssays and SummaryArticles.

The Pleiades system permits Members to develop these types of documents privately, or in collaboration with other Members or UserGroups?, before making them visible to the entire Pleiades community. For their part, other Members create Comments, which permit them to concur with, or raise questions about, the Suggestions? or Comments of others.
