Richard Talbert is William Rand Kenan, Jr., Professor of History and Classics and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He directed the Classical Atlas Project, which produced the Barrington Atlas. He founded the Ancient World Mapping Center at the University of North Carolina and serves on its Advisory Board. Talbert was principal investigator for Pleiades Phase 1 and now serves as one of its two Senior Editors?.
