Technical Observers (2006-2008)

To be successful, the Pleiades project needed to forge early, productive collaborations with talented and motivated individuals in many fields. Therefore, at the beginning of PleiadesPhase1 we created a Technical Observers (TOs) roster. TOs were named by the Pleiades Project leadership on the basis of suggestions from other TOs and nominations by Steering Committee members and Senior Research Advisers.

As experts in scholarly, technical or procedural matters essential to Pleiades' function or interaction with external resources, TOs were essential partners in the success of our initial development effort. Many of our Phase 1 TOs remain active participants in the PleiadesCommunity.
